This is a very simple recipe that produces a delicious fish dish. It’s also one of my favourites as it’s very quick to make and the ingredients are very easy to get hold of.

Salmon on a bed of garlic spinach


  • 1 bag fresh spinach
  • 2 salmon steaks
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 dash lemon
  • oil
  • 1 knob butter


Step 1
Season and fry the salmon steaks in the oil in a shallow pan for a few minutes each side until cooked. when cooked, put to one side in a warm place.
Step 2
Add the finely chopped garlic to the pan and cook until it colours lightly
Step 3
Add the butter, the lemon juice and spinach leaves to the pan and toss them around until the spinach is coated
Step 4
Serve spinach on the plate with the salmon steak on top
